On the 1st of December the Supreme Court of Victoria accepted our request for an adjournment, pushing the next hearing in the King Charles Genocide case to May next year, allowing us much needed extra time to prepare for such a historic and important case.
In the meantime, we are preparing for our case on the 23rd of January charging the Governor of “Victoria”, Margaret Gardner, with trespass. On Invasion Day, 26th of January 1925, Uncle Robbie Thorpe issued an eviction notice to the Governor at her residence, Government House. Later in the year the Magistrates Court of Victoria accepted to issue a summons to court for the charge of trespass and on the 12th of November Uncle Robbie Thorpe served the summons to the Governor’s residence.
